Ok, so Michael wasn't on, I'm disappointed. However thats not what gets me. There was a time when the VMA's didn't go to commercial, gave away more than 8 statues, had a HUGE in house audience AND the audience didn't act like they were in a library!
I might be old, but I smell a hint of B.S. Brittany won three awards? REALLY?
The cute little englishman who hosted it was the only thing I liked about it.

ABOUT ME
Listen, I graduated from high school in 1993..I have no idea who 80% of the nominees are let alone have ever listened too. I am an old lady of 33 and haven't seen a VMA since, oh maybe 2000. (no that's not me in the photo, thats "Lil the Dancer" from "Twin Peaks; Fire Walk With Me".)
Anyway, I was planning to skip this year's as well, until my local FOX affiliate informed me that MJ may make an appearance. Well, now I have to watch don't I? I'm sure that half the jokes will go over my head. I'm sure that at some point I'll turm into my mum and say "that's not music, that's just crap!", and I am almost positive that someone will show up half naked. (eww)
And I will be tuned in. Even if he just walks on stage and eats a bag of Dorito's it will be worth it.
